 In Announcements, Contests, Winners

As the month of October falls upon us we find ourselves in need of something to send shivers up our spines. So we turned to the Audience Awards community and you voted on your favorite horror shorts that truly terrified us.

The winners were selected by the global audience and the Horror Shorts Film Festival panel including, Nicole Holland, writer of  the popular American Poltergeist on Netflix; Brady Richards, a lead programmer for the Telluride Horror Show in Colorado; Eyal Alony, a talented programming manager for Scream Entertainment; Mitchell Slan, who’s film Balloon won him over 40 awards in the festival circuit.

The first place winner is Attack of the Potato Clock by Jiyoung Na. The terrifying story takes place in an 80’s elementary school where a horribly mutated potato clock rises from its death bed to take revenge upon the lunch lady who is killing his fellow potato brethren.
