 In Filmmaker Profile

How did you get inspired to become a filmmaker?

What inspired me to become a filmmaker/ animator was watching the cartoon series Ed, Edd and Eddy. The show was so funny and creative to me; ever since then I wanted to be an 2 -D animator. Plus, I have a deep passion for drawing.

What is your favorite part about the short film form?

My favorite part about the short film form is the challenge of creative and telling a story from beginning, middle, and end in in such a short time frame.

Who were the people that supported the making of this film?

The people that supported me was my Professor and my fellow capstones classmates.

What is your next project?

My next project will be another short 2-D animation piece that will revolve around bullying.

Which filmmakers, artists or individuals have most influenced your work?

The artist that has influenced my is Francis Bacon. Every painting he has created has a dark theme to it. That type of style attracts me.

What advice would you give new filmmakers?

I would tell a new filmmaker to never give up and always try to keep your personal style into your work; that’s how people could recognize you.
